Things I know to be true

• Bad things happen to good people
• Your kids can break your heart unlike anyone else
• A 12-year-old boy can make your house a war zone if you let him
• Being a waitress sucks
• Blaming others for your problems is a waste of time and energy
• Liking someone and loving them are two totally different things
• Loving someone and being “in love” with them are two totally different things
• Always have a back up plan
• When you open your mouth to speak, make sure you mean what you say
• Talking shit behind someone’s back just makes you look bad
• There is no love greater than a mothers love for her children
• When someone is speaking to you, listen to them, don’t just hear them
• Love can hurt sometimes, but stick it out, things will get better
• Saying ” I love you” is not as important as showing someone that you love them
• Actions, both bad and good, speak volumes about a person
• Be an example, not a warning
• If you see someone crying, give them a hug.
• If someone treats you with disrespect, that person does not love you
• You cannot force anyone to change, they have to want to do it for themselves
• Don’t rely on someone else for your happiness. You will always be disappointed if you do
• Rude people are ugly people
• Kind people are beautiful people
• Your looks will only get you so far in life, make sure you have something else going for you
• If you make a mistake, own up to it, everyone makes them, it’s part of being human
• Don’t allow another persons negativity to destroy your spirit.
• We all get lost sometimes, but if you always remember who you are, you will find your way back
• Your children will only be little for a very short time. Cherish every single minute while you still can
• Just because it wasn’t done your way, doesn’t mean it’s the wrong way.
• Our life and the lives of those we love can be taken away at any minute. Make sure your feelings are known, spend time with your loved ones, don’t take anyone for granted, let go of grudges and regrets and always, always forgive.
